Vintage finished at Windowrie
Jason O’Dea reports that the 2009 vintage is complete.
The last parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon has been harvested and delivered to the winery just prior to the recent rain. Jason O’Dea said he is very pleased with the early signs of the wines that have finished fermentation.
“We were very fortunate to have minimal impact from the hot weather during January and our whites were picked when flavor ripe and look excellent. The Shiraz matured a little earlier than usual due to these warmer days. The Cabernet and Merlot are the best we have seen in recent years.”
Madrez Winemaking Services team up with Windowrie
Chris Derrez and Lucy Maddox have joined with Windowrie team as wine consultants in time for the 2009 vintage.
Jason O’Dea explains “We are very excited to have the Madrez winemaking team involved with Windowrie. Their level of expertise and experience is evident in the number of awards and accolades that they have collected over the last few years. We are already receiving great feedback from the market with the wines they have been involved with. We look forward to sharing more of the 2009 wines with our customers upon release.” |
