Sakura

‘Sakura’, the festival of cherry blossoms, is held here in Cowra every year - celebrating the profound ties between our community and Japan, a connection rooted in history with its origins in the Prisoner of War Camp that housed Japanese P.O.W’s during WWII.

The Sakura label pays homage to this relationship and the iconic Japanese cherry blossom trees, which symbolise the delicate dance between life and death, impermanence, and hope.

Eyechart

David O’Dea has been farming for over 50 years; a lifetime of experience, trials and tribulations. Now approaching his eighties, David has been fundamental in bringing the family’s vision of organic winemaking to fruition. Great vision doesn’t correlate with great eyesight. The family have, on occasion, been known to question his actions around the winery. Let's just say that the barrels of Preservative Free Organic Shiraz were subsequently clearly marked; insurance for potential ‘blending misunderstandings’.

Natural Wine Co.

The Natural Wine Co. was founded by a collective of wine professionals who came together to create organic, preservative-free wines with minimal intervention. Led by experienced organic grower Jason O'Dea, whose vineyards in Canowindra, NSW, have been farmed organically for years, the team focuses on letting the land guide the winemaking process. Their philosophy is simple: organic farming, wild fermentation, and minimal influence from the winemaker. Each wine reflects the unique character of the region and vineyard, offering a pure, vibrant expression of nature in every bottle.
